Thanks to everyone for the incredible support on November 7th. This was a team effort, and so this success is shared by my family, those who supported my campaign, and everyone who invested one of their precious votes. I’m committed to doing the best job I can for everyone in the City of Oxford.
I was flattered to be featured in a profile by Miami University journalism student Duncan Stewart. The article “David Prytherch: A Man with a Plan.” Thanks to all the interviewees for saying such kind things.
I’m proud to have been endorsed by the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 38, whose members serve the City of Oxford, Miami University, Oxford Township, Hamilton, Fairfield, New Miami, and the Butler County Prosecutor’s Office, Bailiffs, and Coroner’s Office. The good people of the lodge’s political screening committee took hours of their personal time to interview all candidates, ask important questions, and share their own insights on public safety issues.
Their letter kindly says “We are well aware that the public puts a great deal of trust in law enforcement officers, and expects us to endorse those that will best serve our communities.” I hope if elected I can do justice to this very kind endorsement and the support of FOP Lodge 38.
Campaigns in Oxford are non-partisan. We run as individuals, without and “R” or “D” by our names on the ballot. But I am honored to have been endorsed by the Butler County Progressives PAC, a great group of people is doing very important work. Their Executive Committee took time and care to interview all candidates, and the support of these passionate and service-oriented community members means so much to my campaign.
At the September 12 PAC meeting Guest of Honor and Featured Speaker was Aftab Pureval, Hamilton County Clerk of Courts and up-and-coming regional leader. He provided inspiration to a packed house, matched by the amazing group of fellow endorsees. I’m proud to be part of the growing progressive energy, in Oxford and the region!
I’m confident we have the coolest signs on the campaign trail this year, courtesy of the artistry of local designer Tom Devall. Hard to sum up a campaign on 18 x 14 inches of plastic, but I think this gets it. If you’d like to sport one of these limited-edition beauties, please contact us! I do hand delivery.
